Before this, surgeries and tests were cancelled due to covid patients taking up hospital beds. Nowadays, most of these are unvaccinated. Also covid patients from northern and interior BC have been flown to Vancouver hospitals that can handle them. Sadly low vaccine uptake in those areas is responsible for this.

Yea its maybe partly those damn rurals faults but there can be multiple aggravating causes to our problems. In reality the more obvious issue is that there are medical personnel shortages caused by this mass firing of probably immune staff.
