What was the actual intended goal of the malicious code? Or maybe that wasn't the point. I had no idea .vscode/tasks.json was a thing.

Pattern matching and function guards sold me. I'll never look back, you can take patterns out of my COLD DEAD HANDS!

It became distracting after the first two or three spelling errors, agreed.

This is also good advice for personal projects - want to ship stuff? Just do what works, nobody cares!

Ah yes - nobody is doing REST correctly. My favorite form of bikeshedding.

The source of their randomness is interesting, as someone not well-versed in physics: https://random.colorado.edu/concepts/traceable-randomness

Ok, now do npm!

npm allows you to have multiple versions of one package installed, so I’m not sure it will work for this, unless you use a package manager that allows you to set constraints like “only one version of this package can be installed.”

Yeah, turns out I should have read TFA:

>The short summary of the Sudoku + Poetry post is that unlike Rust or JavaScript, a single Python project cannot use more than one version of a specific Python package.

Might be nice for local/development environment work. Test HTTPS without needing to set up `my-dev-env.staging.service.com` or whatever.

But these are public certificates. Most personal computers are behind NAT, i.e. they lack a public IP address.

But my EC2 instance is public! Ok not "local" per se, but definitely could be part of development work.

Yes definitely.

One of my favorite games of all time. Like others have said, the quotes/videos/etc presented during secret projects or research breakthroughs left quite a mark on my young mind.

That and the X-COM: UFO Defense opening cinematic lol

WARNING! WARNING! UFO DETECTED!

Strange thing is that none of the aliens in the intro appear in the game! Not that I mind - completed it twice. Also done Enemy Unknown. Stuck on XCom 2, though.

Ah X-COM! That brings back memories.

New Belgium "Juice Force IPA", I'm looking at you!
